Step by step tutorial of how I made my Bambi icon.

Let’s Begin!

  1. Choose an image and crop it to 100×100
  2. Create a Solid Color Layer, with this Color: #130000, and set the layer to Exclusion, opacity 100%.

  3. Create a Brightness/Contrast Layer and set Brightness to +21.
  4. Create a Selective Color Layer
    Reds: -78 / -13 / +81 / -7
    Yellows: -30 / -47 / +76 / +30
    Greens: -100 / +17 / -100 / -13
    Cyans: +100/ -63 / -63 / +32
    Blues: +69 / -15 / +15 / +17
    Magentas: -100 / +100 / +60 / +77
    Whites: +54 / -20 / -62 / +5
    Neutrals: -9 / -1 / +6 / -11.
  5. Create a Hue/Saturation Layer, set Saturation to +11. The change is almost imperseptible.
  6. Create other Solid Color Layer, with this Color: #fd00c4, and set the layer to Luminosity, opacity 18%.
  7. Create a new Selective Color Layer
    Reds: -8 / +25 / +25 / -1
    Yellows: +28 / -5 / -18 / +2
    Greens: -100 / -73 / -100 / -17
    Cyans: +77/ -3 / -42 / -56
    Blues: +73 / +26 / -100 / -23
    Magentas: -32 / +18 / +9 / +20
    Whites: -60 / -66 / -70 / -29
    Neutrals: -4 / -4 / -2 / -9
  8. Create a new Hue/Saturation Layer, set Saturation to +10. Next add a texture, like the one belowset the layer to Screen and the you have your icon.

  9. If you want another twist, add a Solid Color Layer, with this Color: #fff600, and set the layer to Overlay, opacity 11%.
